Take the Good with the Bad

Well, I guess I should thank God for small favors. My husband’s ex sent him a text saying that she is sending more than one suitcase for the kids when they fly out today. Maybe her IQ has increased a bit over the past few days. How you move two kids from Utah to Chicago with one suitcase is beyond me. I’m glad she decided to stop thinking about herself for five minutes. Of course, the text did wake me up at 1:30 in the morning because, for some reason, she thought it was perfectly acceptable to text that information at that hour of the morning.

I am not a morning person. In fact, I’m not an “any hour of the day that I am sleeping and some asshat decides to wake me up” person. If I don’t sleep I get bags under my eyes. I also get serious migraines when my sleep is interrupted. I also tend to grow claws and fangs when someone wakes me up for a bullshit reason. I’ve been that way for as long as I can remember. So when this dumb ass sent a text at 1:30 in the morning it really pissed me off. What? It couldn’t have waited till a decent hour? Oh, that’s right. She only thinks about herself so the fact that people were sleeping here when she realized how idiotic it was of her to be sending one suitcase was completely irrelevant.

I will thank God for small favors. I am happy she is sending more than one suitcase with the kids. Once they are here, if she ever, EVER texts my husband at 1:30 in the morning again and wakes me up I will promptly send one of my cousins on a plane straight from Chicago to Utah to teach her a lesson in manners. That I promise.
